We offer your attention a short interview with Diego Jesus «El Carnicero» Ponce who’ll try to take away Sergey Fedchenko’s IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight belt in Kharkiv on April 22nd.

- Did you manage to get ready for this fight – you did not have much time for that, eh?

- I’m completely ready for the bout. I had quite enough time because I always keep myself in shape between fights. I've come here to win and I’ll go home to Argentina with champion belt.

- Have you worked out some special strategy for this fight? Did you have any information about you opponent?

- I did not see any of Fedchenko’s fights; however, I’m sure I’ll be able to adjust to his style during the fight. I don’t know much about Fedchenko but I’m sure he does not know much about me either.

- Was the offer for this fight a surprise to you?

- No, nothing at all, it was not. I expected to receive offer for some serious fight because recently I won WBC Mundo Hispano lightweight title. Now my expectations have come true and on April 22nd I’ll win much more prestigious IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight belt.

- Do you plan to stop your opponent by KO?

- I never plan KOs. I plan to box in the ring and to win.

- Your fellow countryman Juan Alberto Godoy who is trained by the same trainer with you lost to Fedchenko by KO half a year ago. Are you taking this into consideration?

- I did not watch that fight and we trained in different gyms with Godoy. However, my trainer, of course, told me about that fight and we are not going to repeat Godoy’s mistakes.
