Today in Kyiv Slovenian Denis Simcic (19-0, 10 KO) conducted last workout before tomorrow fight with Ukrainian Uzelkov (18-0, 11 KO), WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion.

Simcic’s workout was not a long one; in fact it was a kind of warm-up because Simcic even did not put on his gloves. At first Hartmut Schröder, Simcic’s trainer (who also trains Sebastian Sylvester, European middleweight champion), requested that Denis should show his footwork and move around ring perimeter. After that Simcic shadow boxed for a few minutes, then did some exercises for abdominal muscles – and that was the end of the workout.

During a short talk with Denis Simcic and his trainer we found out that they do not know anything about future opponent and that they consider Uzelkov to be a favorite. However, both boxer and his trainer figure on succeeding and victory.
