Once again «K2 East Promotions», promotional company of Klitschko brothers, carried out big professional boxing event. On June 14th «K2EP» held in Kyiv the third tournament this year already. Fans enjoyed 8 bouts that night including the «main dish» – a title bout in which Vyacheslav Uzelkov (19-0, 12 KO), WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion and one of the key boxers of «K2 East Promotions» promotional company defended his belt for the second time.
Uzelkov started rather slowly but his opponent, contender Denis Simcic (19-1, 10 KO) was not much aggressive either. It looked like slow pace quite satisfied counterpunching Simcic who carefully avoided any risky situation. Uzelkov looked dispassionate and did not press the action but such impression was absolutely superficial. After two and a half rounds Uzelkov suddenly landed a perfect right cross which cut down Simcic in a wink. Simcic managed to get on his feet and continued but he never fully recovered. Nevertheless referee allowed the fight to go on but after Uzelkov (whose previous dispassionateness immediately vanished after he smelled the blood) rushed to finish off his opponent Simcic’s corner threw in the towel.

In co-feature undefeated Maxim «The Tormentor» Bursak (15-0, 5 KO) made the first defense of his IBF Youth middleweight belt. He clashed with Italian Giovanni De Carolis (6-2, 2 KO). It was the first time for De Carolis to fight outside Italy. First voyage abroad appeared to be a painful one. At first both boxers mainly jabbed at which Bursak was a little bit more successful. But starting from the second round Ukrainian completely dominated in the ring. Soon his punches to his rival’s liver became more and more persistent. De Carolis, to give him his due, displayed a lot of fortitude and courage, however, he was forced to quit in the 8th round. Bursak cornered him and barraged the Italian with a flurry of punches which remained unanswered. The referee stepped in and stopped the fight. Bursak won by TKO.
