Both fighters of the main event – champion Vyacheslav Uzelkov and contender Denis Simcic took part in the post-fight presser together with Vitali Vdovkin and Vadim Bukhkalov, Uzelkov’s trainer and promoter respectively.

Vadim Bukhkalov: «The «Steel Power» tournament has been voted a success – Vyacheslav Uzelkov retained his belt and stays unbeaten. He had a very serious opponent who fought in Germany only and we did not know what to expect from him. I am sure that after this victory Uzelkov will go up higher in world ranking. This boxing event displayed that Vyacheslav likes his job, he enjoys coming into ring and score victories. His boxing is good and improves from bout to bout. I am proud that we have such a champion and I believe that in future he’ll become undisputed champion of the world».

Then main hero of the event Vyacheslav Uzelkov took the floor: «I am grateful to all the fans who despite bad weather came to support me. I always promise my fans that I’ll do my best to demonstrate good and spectacular boxing. When I step into the ring I do not think about winning or losing – I just come to win. And as you all know my boxing is good – this is my job which I like. Now I want to fight any world champion. I do not have any priorities – I just want the champion belt».

«We’ve been preparing for this fight very seriously», – Vitali Vdovkin, Uzelkov’s trainer said. «After each Vyacheslav’s fight we analyze it thoroughly, point out every detail and every mistake. I believe that Vyacheslav will be able to fight for the world champion belt. But there is no use hastening – the most important thing is step-by-step progress».

Denis Simcic did not speak much; first of all he gave Vyacheslav Uzelkov his due and paid compliments to him and to his fans. «Of course, I figured on victory but I was too much pre-game feverish and I am now angry with my result. But I lost to a very strong opponent and great champion. This was my first bout outside Germany and I like very much how fans greeted me and general atmosphere in Kyiv Palace of Sports. Vyacheslav will never lose with such devoted fans. This was my first defeat which will be a good lesson to me for my future. But I hope for my success in future».
