At the post-fight presser, Avtandil Khurtsidze, new WBA Inter-Continental middleweight champion, was laconic. He thanked Odessa fans for support and joked that Georgian music played in the arena during the fight prevented him from early stoppage. «Not only the rhythm of the songs did not coincide with my movements but I felt strong desire to dance», – smiled Avtandil.

After the fight it was announced that Javier Alberto Mamani had his rib broken in round 6.
