In the main event Maxim «The Tormentor» Bursak (16-0, 6 KOs), IBF Youth middleweight champion, stayed undefeated with the impressive TKO victory over Argentinean Esteban Waldemar Ponce (10-4-1, 5 ÊÎs).
Both fighters started fast boxing mainly from the inside with Bursak throwing and landing notably more than his rival. In round four after one of Max’s attacks Ponce looked shaken and referee opened the count. Later Bursak worked from outside increasingly crushing Esteban’s defense with powerful punches. In round eight the referee once again had to open the count for Ponce and later when the fight turned into lopsided beating the referee waved the bout off saving the Argentinean from inevitable KO.
In the co-event Avtandil Khurtsidze (17-1-2, 11 KOs) defended his WBA Inter-Continental middleweight belt. Khurtsidze, Ukrainian based Georgian, outboxed another Argentinean Valentin Antonio «El Profe» Ochoa (19-8-1, 8 ÊÎ) to a unanimous decision win. Khurtsidze dominated in the ring chasing his opponent all the time.
On the undercard two undefeated heavyweights Vladimir Chanturiya (12-0, 8 ÊÎ) and Andrei Rudenko (11-0, 4 ÊÎ) both started aggressively with a promising beginning. Unfortunately the fight was stopped in round three due to a severe cut on Rudenko’s head. The fight was considered no contest.
