In the main event of «Steel Power II» boxing tournament Vyacheslav Uzelkov (20-0, 12 KOs), WBA Inter-Continental light heavyweight champion and one of the key boxers of «K2 East Promotions» promotional company won a twelve round unanimous nod over Alejandro Lakatos (29-5-2, 22 KOs) from Romania who now lives in Madrid, Spain. Scores were 118-112, 115-113 è 115-112.

All over sudden Lakatos, former two-time world title challenger appeared to be a hard nut to crack. A”die hard” type of a fighter had no intention to surrender till the final bell and tried to respond to Uzelkov every moment of the fight at every square inch of the ring. However, Uzelkov was more accurate in his attacks and managed to edge Alejandro. Uzelkov was more than motivated in this fight – victory over Lakatos opens straight road for Vyacheslav to a title fight against the winner of the bout in which on November 22nd in Germany Hugo Hernan Garay (31-3, 17 KOs), WBA light heavyweight champ, will clash with challenger Juergen Braehmer (31-1, 25 KOs).

On the undercard of «Steel Power II» tournament fans’ attention was captured by a clash of two unbeaten heavyweights. Vladimir Chanturia (12-0, 8 KOs) and his namesake Vladimir Lazebnik (13-0, 8 KOs) collided in eight-rounder. However, only one managed to keep his record untouched after the bout. The fight was a close one with a lot of mutual belligerence and counterpunching. Chanturia looked like a busier fighter but in the final rounds Lazebnik geared up and was even close to an early stoppage. Eventually Lazebnik won by unanimous decision with a new record of 14-0, 8 KOs while Chanturia suffered his first loss and dropped to 12-1, 8 KOs.

Other results of the undercard:
