On March 17th in Cherkassy prefight presser was held in advance of «Tornado 2» boxing tournament which «K2 East Promotions» promotional company will carry out at Budivelnik Sports Palace on March 28th in that Ukrainian city.

General manager of K2 East Promotions Alexander Krasyuk introduced the tournament to the journalists.

In the main event Avtandil «Tornado» Khurtsidze (17-1-2, 11 ÊÎs), a Ukrainian based Georgian, will clash with former IBO light middleweight champion Attila «Viper» Kovacs (25-2-0, 17 ÊÎs). The stake in the upcoming bout is rather high – Khurtsidze’s WBA Inter-Continental middleweight champion title.

Attila Kovacs is a famous Hungarian fighter, in 2006-2007 he possessed IBO light middleweight champion belt. Earlier in his career he also won IBF Inter-Continental light middleweight and WBA Inter-Continental light middleweight titles. Kovacs was EBA (European Boxing Association) light middleweight champ as well. 34-year old Hungarian never lost by KO and has only 2 losses in his record (one at the beginning of his career and another one – last October from Russian fighter Gennady Martirosyan. Kovacs is an aggressive boxer-puncher with good skills and enough power to win by KO.

On the undercard 25-year old Croatian heavyweight prospect Mario Preskar (14-0-2, 9 ÊÎs) will make his debut in the Ukrainian ring. Preskar helped Vitali Klitschko during his training for the fight against Samuel Peter and Ukrainian champ highly evaluated Mario’s boxing skills.

Also on the undercard of «Tornado 2» there will be fights of Ukrainian prospects Dmitrij Nikulin (16-0-0, 5 ÊÎs) and Valery Brazhnik (20-0-1, 13 ÊÎs) of «K2 East Promotions». Rematch of Alec Murtazaliev (7-2-1, 5 ÊÎs) against very experienced Ukrainian journeyman Vladimir Borovski (21-34-2, 9 ÊÎs) will be in the undercard of «Tornado 2» too.
