On the eve of a big boxing tournament which will be held on April 22nd at «Lokomotiv» Sports Palace in Kharkiv participants of the tournament took part in a presser in this Ukrainian city. Besides IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight champ Sergey «Professor» Fedchenko and his trainer Victor Demchenko journalists had the pleasure to listen to Vitali Klitschko who in this case acted as promoter of «K2 East Promotions».

Legendary heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko was the first to take the floor. He presented the big boxing tournament to be held in Kharkiv which is organized by «K2 East Promotions» with the support of «Inter» media-group and world famous brand «Nemiroff».

In the main event Sergey Fedchenko (22-0, 10 KOs), IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight champion, will defend his belt against Argentinean Diego Jesus «El Carnicero» Ponce (16-4-2, 2 KOs).

«El Carnicero» («The Butcher») Ponce is 29 year old. It will be his first fight outside Argentina. He is not a puncher, however, Diego is a very fast fighter who usually throws a lot of punches. He is a proud owner of WBC Mundo Hispano lightweight title which Diego Jesus won last December by defeating Cristian Javier Olmedo. All 4 losses in Ponce’s career happened in fights with very strong opponents including Raul Balbi, former WBA world champion.

On the undercard Ukrainian fans will see the return of Zaurbek Baysangurov (19-1, 14 KOs), one of the best fighters of «K2 East». Unfortunately Zaur lost his last fight to Cornelius Bundrage by TKO. Baysangurov will fight Mikheil Khucishvili (11-6-2, 4 KOs), an agressive brawler from Georgia. Zaurbek Baysangurov trained very hard for his come-back – he spent two months in the USA training at Freddy Roach’s «Wild Card Gym» where Zaur sparred with strong fighters.

Undefeated Vitaliy Rusal (23-0, 16 KOs), IBO Inter-Continental cruiserweight champion will fight on the undercard too. Also on the undercard there will be some more interesting bouts.
