Fedchenko is 28 years old; he made his debut in the professional ring in 2002. He won IBF Inter-Continental light welterweight belt in May of 2008 after he defeated Peter Semo from Uganda. That win also brought Fedchenko «The Professor» moniker after he methodically destroyed Semo within 12 rounds of a hard battle.

His rival in the upcoming title clash Kaizer Mabuza is a ruling boxing champ of South Africa. Early in his career Mabuza twice famous fought Isaac Hlatshwayo (29-1-1, 10 KOs) who is now IBF welterweight champion (Mabuza lost both fights). On the undercard unbeaten Ukrainian heavyweight prospect Andrey Rudenko (14-0, 7 KOs), will face Talgat Dosanov (13-12-1, 6 ÊÎs) from Kazakhstan. Dosanov is not a no name for Ukrainian fans: last August he bravely fought against another «K2 East Promotions» fighter Alexander Ustinov in Grozny, Russian Federation during a huge fight card billed «The Champ Comes Home». Ustinov (17-0-0, 14 ÊÎs), however, left no chances for Dosanov: giant of a man Ustinov who stepped into the ring weighing 303.1 pounds won the fight by TKO in round 4.

In another undercard fight Yuri Nuzhnenko (28-1-1, 13 KOs), former WBA World welterweight champion will make his comeback after last April bitter defeat from Vyacheslav Senchenko. Nuzhnenko will check up his operational readiness is an eight-round clash against Mamasoli Kimsanbayev (11-1, 4 KOs) from Uzbekistan.

Another comeback will be made by Vitaly Rusal (23-1, 16 KOs) who after TKO loss to Marco Huck last May will debut in a new division – he has moved down from cruiserweight to light heavyweight category. Rusal will fight Vasyl Kondor (18-6-1, 5 KOs).
