On May 17th in Kharkiv two undefeated heavyweights clash in the ring – Rudolf Abramyan (11-0, 10 KO) and Alexander Ustinov (9-0, 8 KO). «Undefeated rival? It’s great!», – Ustinov commented. «I have never met Rudolf before – I saw him for the first time at the weigh-in but it seems to me that he is a good person and deserves respect. In general anyone who manages to overcome himself and comes into the ring deserves respect. Every boxer strives for the better and I don’t have any right to blame my rival for the absence of defeats in his record
(smiles). Moreover, fighters have to become stronger and stronger in the course of their careers. So I’m not surprised that my rival is undefeated. I won’t promise that I ensure our fight will not go the distance because it is not right to come into the ring with one thought only about lethal punch. It is clear to everyone around and as a rule knockout becomes out-of-reach».
Abramyan in his turn pointed out that he did not see any fight of Ustinov but it is not a surprise for him to fight with boxer whose style is absolutely unknown to him. Russian boxer also said that he has nothing to say to his rival before the fight – everything will be said by his fists in the ring. One of members of Abramyan’s team said that they have prepared several surprises which Ustinov will soon see in the ring.
